6 ways to balance vaginal acidity/pH level

On today’s blog, I’ll be giving a few tips on how to balance the vaginal acidity/pH level. I know you might be wondering what that means but VAGINAL ACIDITY/pH LEVEL is the measure of how acidic/ basic the vaginal fluid is😊….So, let’s proceed.

Douching is the act of washing/cleansing/flushing the inner part of vagina with water or mixture of other prepackaged fluid.This is totally different from washing the outer part of the vagina during a bath.Douching causes an increase/imbalance in acidity and it leads to a yeast infection or bacteria vaginosis. According to Dr Renjie Chang, “The vagina does not need to be washed because it is a self cleansing organ and it has an effective ecology bacteria that helps to main the right path”

As women,we prone to several infections because we have sensitive organs that’s why it’s important to observe personal/vaginal hygiene

___change underwears,tampons and pads,they shouldn’t stay longer than 7/8 hours

____Wash underwears in warm water then rinse twice and dry

___Use cotton underwears only

____Don’t hold urine for long

____Use clean water /wipes after urinating

____Do not use soap, cream or perfume.

This is another measure as the high alkaline nature of the semen can affect the pH level of the vagina. Using contraceptive cream is not advisable.

The use of a water base lubricant is highly recommended

Some food help to keep the vagina healthy. Foods/fruits like sweet potatoes πŸ₯”, avocados πŸ₯‘, plain yoghurt πŸ₯›,apples🍎, vegetables like cabbage 🍈 would be of great benefit.

Probiotics in this context are substance that aid the health when consumed in adequate amount,they can be obtained in food/fruit (mentioned earlier) or dietary supplements

Water helps to wash the system and helps to reduce the smell of urine.I
